Houston Methodist Willowbrook Women’s Program
Major Renovation of the Women’s program at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Renovation includes the existing Level III NICU, Post-Partum Suite, OR Suite, PACU, Pre-OP/Post-OP, OB/ED Suite, and Vacant Space located on the 2nd floor into new LDR Rooms, C-Section ORs, Well Baby Nursery, OB/ED Patient Stations, and Post-Partum/Ante-Partum Rooms and the existing Level II Nursery and Post-Partum Suite located on the 3rd floor into a new Continuing Care (Level II) Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level III). The total area of the renovation is approximately 52,000 SF.
Sam Houston State University Student Health and Counseling Center
This project includes combining the existing Student Health and Counseling Centers into one new 28,000 gross square foot facility at the old King Hall location. The Health Center will include a walk-up pharmacy, exam rooms, nursing stations and offices for health providers, specialty areas for triage, procedures, and future radiology room. It will also include lab facilities and support spaces including an equipment/supplies area with autoclave and linen closets, etc. The Counseling Center will include private and specialized therapy rooms. The Health and Counseling operations will require separate waiting areas and reception desks but will share administrative areas. The Construction Cost Limitation for this project will be $7,360,000.
The Student Health Center includes all of the necessary spaces to provide professional health care services to the currently enrolled students of SHSU. The Counseling Center will provide adequate space, acoustic control, etc. to meet the needs of their mental health services. Combining these two centers into one site offers an easily recognizable location and will greatly support the health and wellness programs.
Texas Children’s Woodlands
E&C provided the MEP for the build-out of the Texas Children’s Pediatrics on the first floor of the Texas Children’s Hospital located in The Woodlands, Texas. This 8,420 square foot project required new utilities for the layout, established the scope of work for the Owner’s requirements. The space includes counseling centers, adolescent, newborn and infant care and emergency care center and call center. Construction costs for this project was $1,299,491.
The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston School of Dentistry
E&C provided the mechanical and plumbing design for the new 300,000 square foot Dental School Building for the University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston. Design for the building included multiple vacuum systems to serve clinics, teaching labs, and a surgery center. Mechanical systems were reviewed by providing life cycle cost analysis to the owner for their final decisions about energy recovery, zoning types and outside air pretreat systems. The new 6 story Dental building was a $155 million project, one of the largest for UTHSC-H.

We have designed labs which hold BSL3 Microscopes for UTMB, CT and MRIImaging for MDACC, UTHSC-Houston and Tyler along with Houston Methodist and Texas Children’s.
