Bellaire Uptown Transit Center

The project is a new construction of a three story Transit Center and parking lot serving local bus (METRO) passenger transfer between local bus routes. The center includes: surface parking lot with 67 parking spaces; one grade level for use of local METRO buses and BRT buses coming from Westpark Drive; second level with 175 parking spaces (Park-N-Ride) to allow users to park in the facility and then catch a bus on the first or third floor; and a third level reserved for METRO buses only via a ramp from U.S. 59 (ramp by others) with a cast-in-place canopy system to protect waiting users from the elements.
