Houston Independent School District DeBakey High School for Health Professionals

The DeBakey High School for Health Professionals is a five-story brand new building built in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. The school was built to be the home of up to 2,000 students from around the HISD district who have been accepted into the health professional’s magnet program. The building boasts a 4-story atrium/dining area, state-of-the-art physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, along with a gym and theater on the 5th story surrounding a rooftop terrace. The DeBakey High School is LEED Certified for the building’s sustainable design and construction.
