BUILDING, ABILENE ,TX
Project: Abilene Christian University Halbert-Walling Laboratory Building
Description of Services Provided
This building has the laboratory space which meets modern requirements for cutting-edge research, as well as space for students and faculty to collaborate and interact inside and outside the classroom.
The reputation of ACU’s science programs has led to overwhelming demand, and the Halbert-Walling Research Center allows the programs to grow while continuing to attract top students and faculty from across the globe.
The 54,000-square-foot center replaces Chambers Hall and a small structure which was used by the university’s contracted custodial services. Together the remodeled Bennett Gymnasium, Halbert-Walling Research Center and Robert R. Onstead Center for Science and Humanities provide state-of-the-art homes for several academic departments in the College of Arts and Sciences.
